Q: I ordered a brake a few days ago,.. Why hasn't it shipped yet?
A: All of my parts are made to order so there is always a delay from the order being placed to when the order ships. The normal turn around time is 2-4 weeks but varies greatly depending on the work load. The busiest time of year is from Nov.-Mar. and the lead times are the highest. Busy lead times can be as high as 5-9 weeks. If for a legitimate reason you need your part by a specific date contact me prior to purchase to see if that is possible. In rare circumstances I will expedite an order for a fee such as an upcoming competition or parts need prior to depoyment or service exercises.
Q: Can you make a brake for ...?
A: The answer is yes, as long as it has a threaded barrel. I can make a muzzle device for any caliber weapon with a threaded barrel. All the way from airsoft(yes I have had to, some airsoft guys take their stuff very seriously) to 50BMG. Depending on the caliber some designs might need to be altered substantially to work right which can increase the cost.
Q: Why does this part cost this price?
A: Part price is simple. It is just the cost of the material plus the machine time. The bigger and more intricate the part is the more it cost to machine. The prices are for the standard configurations. Most custom changes will increase the price for the reason stated above and will vary depending on the changes. Minor changes make minor increases in cost while extensive changes can add up quickly. I do my best to keep the cost down. don't be affraid to ask about customizations.
Q: You offer so many finishes, how do I get the one I want for my order?
A: One of the many reasons I make my parts to order is so I can offer all of the finishes I do. For the cerakote and natural TI finishes its as simple as selecting the desired finish before adding the part to your cart. For the anodized and 2 tone finishes select the TiCamo for single step finishes or select the 2 tone for 2 step finishes. Any of the solid colors and torch fades fall under the TICamo category and the multi anodized, brushed and anodized, and cerakote and anodized finishes fall under the 2 tone category. Select the finish prior to adding the part to your cart and after you order email me at dan@tactical-advantage-armory.com with your order number and attach a pic of how you'd like it anodized or briefly describe it. I will email back to confirm or go over any needed details.
Q: How do I order a custom Part?
A: Custom orders are always planned thru email (dan@tactical-advantage-armory.com)and then a detailed invoice is sent for payment. Once payment is received I start working on the part. Custom parts are made to your specs and are non returnable/refundable. For custom parts there pretty much 2 types. The first is the easier which is custom changes to existing designs like making it a specific length or larger diameter. Can also include extra weight reductive machining or removing features like not putting wrench flats on. The second kind is extensive changes and custom one off parts. These would include make parts longer and requiring additional ports and the sky is the limit on the one offs. Tese are typically the most expensive parts.
